Welcome to the Helke PTA

The Helke Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a forum where parents and teachers discuss ways to promote quality education, strive to expand the arts, encourage community involvement, and work for a healthy environment and safe neighborhoods.

Helke PTA sponsors school-wide events including Everybody Counts, birthday luncheons, grandparents' day, and holiday parties. PTA also supports activities such as playground improvements, Smart Board purchases, spirit-wear sales, nutritious snacks for students during testing, and food & supplies for the animals in our media center.

Monthly Family Fun events are planned by Helke PTA such as a Football Tailgate Party, Blanket Making and Food Drive for the Needy, Rollerskating, Family Game Nights and a Spring Movie Night at Helke Park.

The Helke PTA also provides funds for the Accelerated Reading program, the Heart of Helke fund, teacher start-up funds and Staff Appreciaiton events, 4th grade trips to Woodland Altars, the Aullwood Adventures program and field trip transportation. PTA also makes yearly donations to the Mary Ann Wetzel foundation, the Vandalia Butler Council and Helke Scholarships.

Parents are encouraged to get involved as much as they like. One of the greatest contributions made by PTA members is volunteer work at our school. We can't do what we do without YOU!
