Family Fun Activities

The Helke Elementary PTA hosted its 2nd Annual Tailgate Party on Friday, September 12th. All families and staff were invited to join together for a hot dog dinner that included chips, cookies, and soda pop. The PTA sold 50/50 tickets, raffles for restaurant gift certificates, Butler and Helke t-shirts and sweatshirts, and students enjoyed getting "purple and gold" tattoos to support their favorite Butler Football team. Members: Bill Hibner, Kent Zimmerman, and Bob Cupp also joined in the fun! After the Tailgate, Helke families attended the Butler vs. Springboro game. "This is the first of several Family Fun Nights that the PTA and Helke Staff plan together." said Cheryl Stidham, Helke Principal. "We organize these events to provide fun and safe opportunities for our parents and students to attend throughout the year." The next Family Fun event will be the Fall Festival at the school on Friday, October 10th from 6:30-8:30pm.
