What's New
- Vandalia-Butler City Schools once again earning a designation of
"Excellent" on the state report card. The district met all 26
indicators. In addition, Murlin Heights Elementary attained an "Excellent
with Distinction" rank and Butler High School posted at 100% graduation
rate. A top-notch teaching staff, involved parents, the continual
calibration of assessments, and the district’s emphasis on professional
development all contributed to the excellent rating. Congratulations to our
staff, students, and parents for this outstanding rating, and thank you for
your tremendous efforts to promote student achievement!

- On Thursday, August 5, the Vandalia Drummer reported that the
renovations at Butler High School will be completed in January or February
of 2011. This information was a misprint. The project is tentatively
scheduled to be completed in fall of 2011, provided there are no schedule
delays.
- Vandalia-Butler City Schools is offering a new Credit Flex Program for
Butler High School students. The program provides three alternative methods
for earning credits toward graduation.

unavailable for rental until further notice due to the facility project.
